PHILO ENCOURAGER AWARD 

Purpose: The Philo Encourager Award is given during the Southwestern Regional    Conference to support higher educational attainment among our Philos in the Southwestern Region.  Funding is provided through the SWR Educational and Charitable Foundation.

This Award: 

• Promotes academic achievement by Philo members

• Promotes completion of an undergraduate college degree and pursuit of membership to become a Soror.

Eligibility: Individual Philo Member 

Award: $300 and a plaque presented to one Philo member 

Criteria:  

• Completed award application (typed)  

• Submission of proof of enrollment of at least 6 credit hours in a 'brick and mortar' school (no online credits accepted) 

• College classification as an undergraduate, new freshmen through graduating senior

• A current financial member of a Philo Affiliate in the Southwestern Region

• Write a paragraph of 3 - 5 sentences expressing future goals of study
